Battery Charging

The battery inside the O-KAM Pro Solar camera is not fully charged due to shipping safety regulations. Please use a USB cable (5V adapter not included) to charge the battery.

When charging, the LED indicator light is always red, and when fully charged, the red light goes out. The camera takes about 4 hours to fully charge.

Add O-KAM Pro Solar Camera

Log into the app, follow the prompts to connect to Wi-Fi and track your camera to complete the addition;

(Place the camera near the router to configure WiFi).

In the scanning QR code interface, users can scan the QR code on the machine, or click “WiFi camer”.

Camera Installation Guide

Check the following things before you drill holes on your wall: This camera has been successfully added to your O-KAM App and is able to stream video.

Find a good installation spot

  • Height of installation from the ground is suggested around 2.2-3.5M (~7.2-11.5 Feet)
  • PIR (motion sensor) setting for lighting on/off automatically is around 10M (30 Feet).
  • Make sure the camera’s sight is not blocked.

Camera installation method

  1. Mark holes on the wall using the provided drilling template. Drill 4 holes using one drill bit(15/64″,, 6mm).
  2. Install anchors to fix the screws.
  3. Align the Support plate with the drilled screw hole, and fix the Support plate to the wall with the matched screws.
  4. The raised positions on both sides of the camera support are aligned with the slots on both sides of the support plate, and then push the camera upward until the camera is directly connected with the support plate.

Solar Panel Installation Guide

Place solar panels in an area that gets full sun year round. Power your camera with just a few hours of direct sunlight a day.

The energy produced by solar panels is affected by weather conditions, seasonal changes, geographic location, and more.

Tilt the solar panel up 30-35°

Wipe the face of the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth regularly to clear any dustor debris.

Installation Instructions

1. If the installation surface is soft or unstable, first use a drill to make a hole in the wall, then insert the anchor nail into the hole and secure the bracket with screws.

2. Screw the gimbal into the back of the solar panel. Tighten it with the included nut.

3. Screw the locking screw into.Make sure that the universal joint is angled upward.

4. When adjusting the solar panel left or right, loosen the locking screw, turn the sleeve rod, and tighten the locking screw when the panel is in position.

5. Solar panel’s angle can be adjusted up and down up to 90°.

6.Tip: After the installation is complete,please check that locking mechanisms are tightly secured.

Common Problem

Can’t add a camera for the first time?

When adding a camera for the first time, make sure the camera is powered on and the working status light is Blinking blue slowly or hearing “Please use the App to configure WiFi” from the camera.

  1. Make sure the WiFi account and password are correct.
  2. The camera only supports 2.4GHZ Wifi and does not support 5G frequency band. Please do not use 5G WiFi to configure the network.
  3. When adding a camera, ensure that the network is smooth, and it is recommended to operate close to the router.
  4. If the QR code network configuration is unsuccessful, try to use the AP network configuration (the mobile phone can be automatically added after connecting to the Wifi hotspot issued by the camera and returning to the App); the password should not be set as complicated as possible, and it does not contain special characters such as l’.
  5. If the two methods are still unable to connect to the Internet, it is recommended to restart the router and try again.
  6. Provide the nameplate label of the router.

How do I use my camera with family and friends?

Open the APP and select your camera in the home page. Click on camera settings Click “Share” to enter the sharing page, and a QR code will be automatically generated. your friend Friends can open the APP and scan the QR code in the mobile phone to get some access permission.

How far should the camera be from the router?

After testing, the Wi-Fi connection distance can normally reach 150 meters in an open area. But the actual situation depends on the strength of the Wi-Fi and its surrounding environment (thick walls, electromagnetic devices, large metal objects can cause interference to the Wi-Fi signal) If the camera connection signal is weak or unstable, place the camera as close to the router as possible .

The SD card cannot be recognized?

After inserting the SD card into the SD card slot of the camera, check whether the capacity of the SD card is displayed in the “System Settings” – “SD Card Recording Settings” of the device in the APP. If it prompts

“No SD card detected”, it means that the SD card recognition failed.

  1. Please use brand SD card.
  2. The SD card can be recognized by the computer normally.
  3. Only FAT32 format is supported.
  4. The recommended SD card capacity is between 2-256G.
  5. It is recommended to use a high-speed SD card of Class 4 and above.
  6. Try to insert and unplug the SD card several times.
  7. It is recommended to try another SD card.
  8. It may take some time for the camera to recognize the SD card. After inserting the card, wait for about 30S before observing.

What should I do if the equipment fails?

Long press the power button to restart the camera. If there is no response, you can open the USB silicone cover at the bottom of the camera, long press the reset button to reset, and then long press the power button to restart the camera.
